Summer Fun!

This Saturday is August already which means that the start of school is only a month away! Hopefully everyone is enjoying their summer vacation, getting outside, getting exercise, and enjoying the summer sun!

Don't forget to start shopping the "back to school sales" because you can really find some great deals during this time.

Well, I'm starting to get excited to meet my new students for the coming school year and I hope you are excited as well!!

Field Day & Graduation

It is the time of the year for thePreschool and Kindergarten graduation!  We will be celebrating on June 2, 2009 at 9:00am.  There will be a short poem or song from each class, and then a slideshow of all the things that happened throughout the year.  Following the program, there will be cake and refreshments for all.  Save the date and watch your child graduate :)

Field Day is May 29, 2009, and will take place at Pinconning Park in Pinconning, Michigan.  The bus will leave the school at 8:00am and will return here at school around 2:00pm.  It should be a lot of fun!!  Come join us if you would like!  We still need a few volunteers to help out.  If you are interested, please let the office know!

Things are really wrapping up quick this year and it has been a joy having your children in my classroom! 

FYI

The Preschool and Kindergarten Graduation has been planned for June 2, 2009 at 9:00am, in the school's multipurpose room.  More to come about the specifics!!  I really can't believe that it's already getting down to the last little bit of the school year!  The kids have grown so much throughout this year and I am very proud of them and their accomplishments!

We had a game night awhile back thanks to Office Central in West Branch, Michigan.  They came to our school and brought tons of games for the parents and children to play with together while the teachers taught them the games at different tables.  They were educational games that families could play together and have fun with!!  The night was a huge success and a lot of parents went away with these games to play with their children!  Here is one of the games that I purchased that the kids love to play with in their spare time!!

A good interactive website to help children with their reading is www.starfall.com.  The children really like this site and have become really good at it :)

April 2009

This month we will be doing a lot of activities having to do with living things. We will be planting our own plants and watch them grow to learn about the different parts of plants and what they need to grow.

We are learning more and more each day and are doing a really good job reading and writing and preparing for next school year!! Stay tuned for more updates and pictures!!
